Inspired by the long-established tradition of block printing, Palma transports you to sunlit Mediterranean shores with natural sand and terracotta hues, together with soft Aegean and tranquil ocean tonality.

Palma’s celebration of print and colours runs through each and every design from the hand-painted watercolour, Agulla, to the stylised herringbone, Galatzo.

These versatile motifs are offered on a natural cotton-linen base that has a lovely soft handle.

These can be used for curtains, accessories and upholstery.

Palma: What is Block Printing?

Block printing is the process of printing patterns by using engraved wooden block.

It is the earliest, simplest and slowest of all methods of textile printing.

Block printing by hand is a slow process, it is capable of yielding highly artistic results, some of which are unobtainable by any other method.

As a method of printing on cloth, the earliest surviving examples from China date to before 220 AD.
